Op’n Close Systems is a Perth-based electric gate specialist founded in 2022 by owner-operator Guil. We design, install, repair and maintain sliding, swing and boom gates for homes and businesses across the greater Perth metro area. Fully insured, owner-operated, and only premium brands: FAAC, Centsys, Nice, BFT and DEA.
It started with an apprenticeship.
Guil’s first job, back in 2007, was as an apprentice working on electric gates. From 2009 to 2014 he worked for several gate companies in France, covering maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs and new installs, some of it for companies that maintained more than 3,000 systems between them.
From 2014 to 2018 he ran his own gate business in France. In 2018 he moved to Perth on a sponsored visa and worked as a technician at a well known Perth automatic gate company, right through to 2022.
In 2022 he went out on his own and founded Op’n Close Systems. No garage doors, no alarms, no chasing every job under the sun. Just electric gates, done properly, for people across Perth who want something that will still be running in ten years.
We are not the cheapest, and we have never tried to be. We are the bloke you call when you want it done once and done right.

Guil is the owner, the quoter, and the one fitting your gate. Over 20 years in gate automation, from an apprenticeship in 2007 through years in France to running Op’n Close Systems since 2022, means he has seen every brand, every failure mode, and every shortcut that comes back to bite people a year later.
He is straight with you about what a job needs and what it does not. If a repair will get you another five years, he will tell you. If it is time to replace, he will tell you that too, and quote it honestly.

Since 2025, Op’n Close Systems has made a set monthly contribution to Water for Africa, a WA charity working on clean water projects in the Mufindi District of southern Tanzania. Guil met the founder through his own church, and hopes to increase the contribution as the business grows.
