What we do

Op’n Close runs four electric gate services across Perth: emergency repairs when a gate is stuck closed or part-way, can’t be put into manual mode and is blocking entry or exit, breakdown service when the electric operation is intermittent or has failed but the gate can still be opened by hand, new installation for residential and commercial builds, and maintenance for gates that still work but are noisy or need attention. One owner-operator, every call.

Absolutely outstanding service. Guil is friendly, knowledgeable, and consistently goes above and beyond to resolve any issue. He takes the time to properly diagnose problems and always delivers effective solutions. He has been servicing our gates for the past three years and is the only person we trust with them. His response time is prompt, and he’s even able to assist over the phone when needed, which has been incredibly valuable. O’pn Close Systems installed a new motor for our sliding gate on 14/07/2025, Guil did the installation. I have been a registered builder for 40 yrs and believe I’m suitably qualified to present my opinion for this installation. Guil is a real professional and tradesman, and comes well presented with his set-up something hard to find these days. He did an excellent job and is a pleasure to deal with I have no hesitation in recommending Op’n Close Systems if you are looking for a professional company. My automated sliding gate would not fully open today and I was unable to drive my car out. A friend recommended Gill and he was able to change his work schedule and come. He identified the problem immediately, replaced the part and then tested all the other areas of the motor to be sure they were fully functional. He even blew away all the cobwebs and dirt around the unit before replacing the housing. I would have no hesitation in recommending Gill. He was friendly, worked efficiently, and clearly is an expert in his field.

5 Stars all round – I can’t add to anything that previous reviews have already said so I’ll just endorse that Guillaume was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, had all the tools, cleaned up after himself and was able to attend to our sticking swing gate when our regular guy couldn’t… We will definitely use and recommend Op’nClose for any gate related issues as our gate is now smoother and quieter than it has ever seen.

I am so happy with the work completed to my existing gate which I required to be automated. So many larger organisations said it couldn’t be done, and wanted to sell me a whole new gate with a different set up. The area was a tight fit, but Guil managed to instal a perfect solution and worked quickly to complete the job to a high a standard. I would 100% recommend O’PN Close Solutions to anyone. Op’n close system we’re great to deal with, they attended our breakdown super quick, fixed the problem and left the site nice and tidy… to avoid having bad surprises we even started on their regular maintenance program. Would strongly recommend.

Good to know

Common questions about our services.

  • If the gate has stopped or is unsafe right now, that’s an emergency repair. If it still works but is getting worse, that’s a breakdown call. A new gate or automating a manual one is installation, and keeping a healthy gate healthy is annual maintenance.

  • Yes, every brand. Most of our repair work is on gates fitted by others. We carry a number of basic parts on board, but not every part.

  • It depends on the job. Ring us and Guil will walk you through it over the phone, including the call-out fee for a repair visit.

  • Ring and we will give you an approximate time based on the day’s jobs.

  • Minor repairs, usually yes. If parts are needed and they are not on the van, we will raise a quote and come back on another day.

  • Both. Residential sliders and swing gates through to commercial boom gates, gated estates and secure yards. The same owner-operator handles all of them.
