A connection made through church, now a monthly commitment
Op’n Close Systems is a small, owner-operated business. We are not a charity and we do not pretend to be. But we believe a trade that does well should do a little good with it, quietly and without fuss.
The connection came through church. Guil got to know Phil, the founder of Water for Africa, and heard first-hand about the work he and his team do in Tanzania, providing clean water for remote communities.
Since 2025, Op’n Close Systems has given a set amount to Water for Africa every month, straight out of the business. There is no formal arrangement and no percentage tied to any job. It is simply an amount set aside each month, with the aim of increasing it as the business grows.
Water for Africa is a Western Australian not-for-profit, incorporation A101613OU, charitable collections licence 21366, based at PO Box 20, Stoneville WA 6081. It was founded in 2010 by Phil Hepworth, and the team works on clean water projects in the Mufindi District, Iringa region, in southern Tanzania.
